Family and Friends Seminar Session 1
August 8, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeNAMI Eastside’s Family & Friends seminar is a free, 2-session educational program for the family members, caregivers, and loved ones of individuals living with mental illness.
The program will be held across two dates – Wednesday, August 8th and Wednesday, August 15th. If you register for one date, we’ll assume that you will attend both days to receive the full benefits of the program.
Both sessions will be held in the Garibaldi Conference Room – follow the NAMI Eastside sandwich board signs that will direct you to the location.
Clinical research has shown that attending Family & Friends seminars significantly improves the coping skills and problem-solving abilities of those closest to an individual living with a mental illness – helping accelerate their journey to recovery.
NAMI Eastside’s Family & Friends seminars are led by individuals who have received extensive training from NAMI (The National Alliance on Mental Illness), and who themselves have lived experience of the challenges that families face when dealing with a loved one living with mental illness.
This seminar includes a presentation, group discussion among attendees, and interactive exercises.
