SOWING THE SEEDS OF KNOWLEDGE

Igniting knowledge to destigmatize mental illness

Stigma is one of the biggest barriers people with mental illness face to getting treatment.

NAMI-Eastside offers high-quality mental health education delivered by individuals successfully managing a diagnosis of mental illness themselves. Our goal is to open eyes and hearts to the lived experiences of those diagnosed with mental illness. All our educational classes are supported by donations and grants and are FREE of charge. Register for each offering using the links below or contact us at info@nami-eastside.org or call our office at 425-885-6264 for more information.

Everything is confidential, and NAMI never recommends a specific medical therapy or treatment approach.

NOTE: this class will meet twice per week, on Monday AND Wednesday, over a four week period.  Classes are consecutive and each class session builds on the knowledge of previous classes, so attending each class is very important. We ask participants to commit to attending every class session.

“I blamed myself, I blamed my ex-husband, and I even blamed my son for his struggles. I was upset with my entire family – but now I understand and embrace the fact that mental illness can affect anyone, for any reason, at any time.”
