Supporting Youth Mental Health and Leadership

2022-2023 Youth Ambassadors will develop a service project focused on three areas: mental health education, support, and advocacy. Students may work individually, with a local organization, or in a group. Participants who complete a final deliverable, and present at the NAMI Eastside Youth Mental Health Conference will be eligible for a $500 scholarship.

Cope2Thrive is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based skills training that helps participants develop skills to cope with symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as skills to improve resilience.

The Teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) training offers youth the opportunity to dive deep into the common mental health disorders, how to recognize signs and symptoms, and learn how to assist peers. Upon completion of the training, participants will become certified Mental Health First Aiders.
